Wildfires in Wales are becoming more frequent and more damaging. Understanding your fire risk is the first step in managing it.
The upland grass fires of recent years have shown how quickly an unmanaged landscape can become a serious risk to woodland, property, and infrastructure. We carry out fire management assessments for woodland, upland, and estate sites, identifying vulnerabilities, fuel loads, access limitations, and priority areas for intervention.
We construct and maintain firebreaks using mechanical mulching and vegetation clearance techniques that create effective fuel breaks. Our low-ground-pressure machinery means we can work on peat soils and steep terrain where access is limited.
We work with NRW and local authorities on planned firebreak programmes and can respond to urgent requests when fire risk escalates.
