Timber dams are one of the tools in peatland restoration and natural flood management. They block drainage channels, raise water tables, and create the saturated conditions that peatland needs to start recovering.

We construct timber dams from locally sourced materials, installed to site-specific designs that account for flow rates, channel dimensions, and the structural integrity of the surrounding peat. Each dam is positioned and built to maximise rewetting effect while avoiding unintended flooding of adjacent land.
